Research: shifting attitudes to work and meaning for leaders

As a leadership coach I have conversations daily with leaders in the built environment who are navigating, with varying degrees of success, the changing nature of work, and apparently, of workers.

The world continues to change. Between the effects of Covid, the UK’s housing crisis, the emergence of AI, a climate emergency and a wealth of other forces, the way workers, particularly younger workers, view their work and employers has the potential to shift significantly. But is it shifting? And if so, what are the changing expectations and desires? What do leaders need to know and do? How is leadership itself evolving? How do we need to equip leaders for now and the future?

To gain more insight I decided to undertake a small piece of research via survey and face to face discussion. I am keen to hear from all levels, ages and disciplines of people who work in the built environment. If you haven’t yet completed the survey and have 5 minutes, I’d love to hear from you.

Here’s the link

I will be sharing results later in the year.

Thank you!
