Evolving Leadership

On the 14th May, in collaboration with project managers Buro Four, I gathered 20 people together for a discussion about shifting attitudes to work. The group was carefully curated to represent different levels, disciplines and ages from the built environment and that was reflected in the richness of the discussion.

Thank you to everyone who took part and to my co-facilitators Ruth Oates and Martina Concordia from Buro Four.

This was the first of a few discussions to delve further into some of the early themes arising from my ongoing research into shifting attitudes to work and the meaning for leaders and leadership across the built environment.

We explored purpose, sense of duty, loyalty, how leaders can be better equipped to navigate individuals’ differing needs and how we can improve intergenerational understanding.

The research is ongoing and there will be further events later in the year. If you haven’t yet taken the survey here’s the link, it takes 5 minutes.

Thank you!
